Sometimes known as the 2020 Rules, we are happy to assist with all your queries regarding the complexities around the Environment Agency rules and regulations.

Compliance with the Environment Agency rules is essential for all homeowners and businesses. The Environment Agency monitor discharges from septic tanks, sewage treatment plants and soakaways and have the ability to prosecute & fine the owners of systems where the discharge does not meet the required regulations. This applies to new installations as well as older existing septic tanks and treatment plants.

We can contact the Environment Agency on your behalf, make the necessary applications for a Permit to Discharge where required, and support you through the all the paperwork to ensure that your new system is fully compliant with the regulations.

Existing Septic Tanks, Sewage Treatment Units and Soakaways

For those systems which are older and may not be performing as well as they could, we can offer support and advice for the best way forward on resolving poor discharge quality.

We can discuss your concerns and liaise with the Environment Agency should you have been contacted by them with a potential pollution issue.
